Xeomin- Neurotoxin

-Xeomin, also called incobotulinumtoxinA, is an FDA-approved treatment for glabellar lines (the wrinkles between the eyebrows). These glabellar lines are found on the glabella, and people also call them frown lines or ’11’ lines
- Xeomin® is closer to Botox® than other neurotoxins in terms of the “units” used to treat an area. There are two very unique features of Xeomin®. As opposed to the other two products, Xeomin® does not require refrigeration. Additionally, Xeomin® is a “naked” botulinum toxin A, meaning there is no additional protein content. This may lower the risk of patients developing antibodies to the product
-Xeomin can also be used in other areas of the face off-label to relax other lines and wrinkles such as forehead lines, lift brows, up-lift corners of lips, to reduce chin dimpling, the appearance of neck bands, and reduce lip wrinkles
The Procedure
-At Riverside Wellness Medical Spa, we begin with a complimentary consultation to assess your suitability for neurotoxin treatments. During this consultation, our experienced Registered Nurses will discuss your aesthetic goals and recommend the best neurotoxin treatment plan tailored to your needs.
-Once your treatment plan is determined, our registered nurses will proceed with the procedure. They will carefully mark the injection sites based on a thorough facial analysis to target specific areas of concern. Using their expertise, our nurses will administer the neurotoxin injections with precision and care, ensuring minimal discomfort during the procedure.
-After the injections, you can resume your daily activities immediately. We advise avoiding strenuous exercise and activities that may increase blood flow to the treated areas for the next few hours to optimize results.
-Neurotoxins like Xeomin work by temporarily blocking nerve signals to targeted muscles, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and preventing new ones from forming. Results typically begin to show within days and typically last 3-4 months.
-To maintain your desired results, our team recommends scheduling regular follow-up appointments as needed (typically within 10-14 days from treatment date).
