Hello, my name is Karli Huber, and I am a Registered Nurse with a deep-rooted passion for both healthcare and aesthetics. I hold multiple licenses and certifications in nursing and cosmetology, reflecting my dedication to blending clinical excellence with artistic precision. My academic background includes a dual bachelor’s degree in Nursing and Hospitality Management, as well as an associate degree in Culinary Arts—a testament to my belief in lifelong learning and the importance of creativity in all aspects of life.
My nursing journey has taken me across several hospitals throughout southern Michigan as a travel nurse, enriching my clinical experience and strengthening my adaptability. I hold advanced certifications in critical care nursing, SkinPen microneedling, and neurotoxin administration and I remain committed to continuous education to stay current with the latest advancements in aesthetic medicine.
Aesthetics is not just a profession for me—it's a calling. I am driven by the science behind beauty, the precision required in practice, and the joy of helping clients feel confident in their own skin. In addition to my work at Riverside Wellness, I also work part-time as a triage nurse to maintain and sharpen my clinical skills.
Outside of Riverside, I enjoy traveling, discovering new culinary experiences, and embracing adventure—especially with my chocolate Labrador by my side.
Behind the Scenes: Dr. Thomas Platt MD
Dr. Thomas Platt is a multi-state board-certified physician with over eight years of experience in aesthetic medicine. He earned his medical degree from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, where he also completed his specialty training at a Brown-affiliated hospital. Board certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Platt has served as Chief Medical Officer for three organizations and is an active member of the International Association of Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine.
Dr. Platt brings a wealth of clinical expertise and a deep passion for aesthetics to Riverside Wellness Medical Spa. He also owns and operates his own aesthetics practice, Medical Aesthetics, located in Ann Arbor, MI.
His transition from internal medicine to aesthetic medicine was inspired by a desire to help individuals enhance their confidence and overall well-being through customized aesthetic treatments. He is known for his personalized approach, attention to detail, and commitment to helping clients become the best versions of themselves.
Beyond medicine, Dr. Platt is a skilled woodworker, avid piano player, and enthusiastic traveler. He enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Wendy, and proudly embraces his role as “grand-paw” to three beloved fur babies—and now as a new grandfather to his first grandchild.
